My graddaddy collected antique bottles. He dug most of these bottles all over the south, but probably mostly in Louisiana. The glass is beautiful and when the light hits it, you couldn't ask for a better photography subject. You know what the real kicker is? I took these pics manually!

I loved looking at your Dad's bottle collection when we would come visit. Very beautiful!!
So what was in those strange and beautiful bottles?????
Let's see...probably fermented grain products, mineral spirits, herbal concoctions, and poisions.
Actually, I don't think I had up any photos of poison bottles. The George Washington bust is an ink bottle.
Oops. I lied, the GW is a bitters. The amber bottle to the left of the amber-colored corn bottle is probably a bitters too.
You can't read the blue bottle from the picture but it says "Casper's Whiskey, Made By Honest North Carolina People"
Awesome pics. Sweet bottles. I'm a little jealous of both.
